Trish Botoff is the Founder and Managing Principal of Botoff Consulting, a premier provider of compensation data and consulting services to family offices, family investment firms, and family business enterprises. Since founding the firm in 2014, Trish has played a pivotal role in shaping compensation strategies that drive performance, retain talent, and foster long-term alignment within family enterprise systems.
Under her leadership, Botoff Consulting has built the most comprehensive proprietary database in the industry focused exclusively on family office and family investment firm compensation. This data is the foundation of the firm’s rigorous benchmarking, governance, and compensation plan design services—empowering clients to make strategic, evidence-based decisions in a dynamic landscape.
Trish’s depth of knowledge, thought leadership, and commitment to excellence have earned her recognition as the “Leading Individual (Service Product Provider)” by the Family Wealth Report in 2024 and third on Family Capital’s list of “The World’s Top 50 Family Enterprise Advisors” in 2023. Trish earned her MBA with a concentration in Leadership from the University of Georgia – Terry College of Business, and holds a BS in Business Administration with a focus in Human Resource Management from Louisiana Tech University. Her blend of academic excellence and hands-on expertise uniquely positions her as a trusted advisor at the intersection of family dynamics, governance, and human capital strategy.

“As a compensation consultant, I was frustrated by the lack of accurate, relevant data for family offices. Much of what existed was published by firms without deep compensation expertise, and it often did more harm than good—setting unrealistic expectations for families seeking top-tier talent. I founded Botoff Consulting in 2014 to change that. Our goal from day one has been to provide reliable, nuanced data and insight tailored to the unique needs of family offices.
